What Our Students Actually Say

We asked people who've been through our UI design programmes to share their honest thoughts. Some loved the challenge, others found it tougher than expected. But they all walked away with skills that changed how they approach design work.

Here's what happened when they decided to invest time in learning something new.

Why Student Feedback Matters to Us

Look, we're not perfect. And we don't pretend to be.

Every few months, we sit down and read through what students tell us. Sometimes it's encouraging. Other times, it's a bit uncomfortable. But that's exactly why we do it.

When someone tells us the pacing felt rushed or a particular module didn't click, we listen. We've reworked entire sections based on feedback. Changed how we explain certain concepts. Added more practice time where people needed it.

The reviews you'll read below aren't cherry-picked. They're real reflections from people who showed up, did the work, and came out the other side with new capabilities.

What You'll Find Here

These reviews come from students who completed our programmes between late 2024 and early 2025. Some were complete beginners. Others had design experience but wanted to sharpen their UI skills.

They've shared what worked, what challenged them, and how they're applying what they learned in actual projects.

We've included a mix of perspectives. Not everyone had the same experience, and that's important to see.

If you're considering joining a programme starting in autumn 2025, these insights might help you decide if it's the right fit for where you are right now.

The Bit That Actually Matters

People often ask us what makes our programmes different. And honestly, it's not some revolutionary teaching method.

It's that we focus on the messy middle bit. That awkward phase where you sort of understand the theory but can't quite apply it yet. Where your designs look okay but something feels off.

That's where most courses leave you hanging. We spend extra time there because that's where real learning happens.

You'll work on projects that don't have perfect solutions. You'll get feedback that challenges your assumptions. And you'll gradually develop an eye for what works and why.

Our next intake begins in September 2025. Applications open in June, and we usually fill spaces within three weeks.

How We Gather Feedback

We don't just send out a survey at the end and call it done.

Throughout each programme, we have regular check-ins. Anonymous feedback forms every few weeks. End-of-module retrospectives where people can speak candidly about what's working and what isn't.

Then, three months after someone finishes, we reach out again. By that point, they've had time to apply what they learned in real situations. That's when we get the most useful insights.

  • Weekly anonymous feedback during active programmes
  • One-to-one conversations for anyone struggling with pace or content
  • Group retrospectives at the end of each major module
  • Follow-up interviews three to six months post-completion
  • Ongoing feedback channels through our alumni community

We take this seriously because your experience directly shapes what we offer to future students. When you tell us something didn't work, we actually change it.
